Description
This sculptural three-tiered piece is built around a naturally shaped section of New Zealand kauri driftwood, creating a strong flowing form that rises alongside the shelves and supports the hanging lantern above.
The shelves are made from recycled rimu, with Philippine mahogany used for the backs, giving the piece a rich mix of warm timber tones and contrasting grain. A 2-watt LED bulb is fitted inside a brass lantern with leadlight glass, casting a soft ambient glow that makes it ideal beside a bed, in a lounge, or as a feature piece in a corner.
The kauri driftwood has been sealed with epoxy resin and finished with wax, while the rimu shelves and mahogany backs have been shellac sealed and waxed.
Part lamp, part shelving and part functional timber art, this is a completely one-of-a-kind DJC Artistry piece.
Handcrafted in Taranaki, New Zealand, no two DJC Artistry pieces are exactly alike.
