Description
This one-of-a-kind DJC Artistry piece celebrates the natural shape, texture and imperfections of the timber rather than hiding them. The upright section has been carefully finished to retain its organic character, with existing hollows and openings used to reveal the internal purple lighting. Mounted on a solid timber base, the piece combines sculpture and ambient lighting in a way that draws attention to the grain, colour and unusual form of the wood. When illuminated, the light shines through the cavities at different points along the timber, creating depth and a dramatic purple glow. Designed and handcrafted by Dallas in Taranaki, this is a unique functional artwork with its own individual character. No two pieces can be reproduced exactly.
